Tried Liberty in her Bumbo this morning since she’s definitely showing an interest in propped sitting. Unfortunately, she wasn’t a big fan…
So, I returned her to her favorite chair. We will try again soon…
Well, actually less than that. As most of you know Canton is rarely in bed before 10pm and doesn’t nap…so, this was quite a surprise to see at 7:30! He had a dinner of cucumbers and applesauce then asked for some pasta while watching football and passed out! It also marks the first time both kids have been asleep at the same time, minus overnight! Guess all it took was soccer, playing with Elias, yard sale, and slip and sliding with Heidi! Aww, cute thing he said to Mr. Evans who asked about purchasing Liberty during the neighborhood yard sale: “Liberty would be infinity dollars!”
Wow! Liberty May is 2 months today!
Liberty had a doctor’s appointment today and she had to get some shots ๐ She had five shots actually, way too many for anyone, especially such a sweet little girl. Dr. A was quite impressed with Liberty, she’s gone from the 5th percentile in weight to 50%, little more in height. Besides some dermatitis and perhaps an umbilical hernia not too much to complain about. Not the best pictures though, she feels pretty rough for her shots, she slept most of the afternoon and evening ๐
She’s been getting big so quickly, I already put all her newborn stuff away ๐
Liberty is staying awake more during the daytime now, she usually wakes around 7 but doesn’t nap until after lunch. This does make the mornings hard, especially fitting in some Canton time on top of household chores, but I’ll take her 9pm – 4:30 am sleeping (for now at least). She still loves to be held, which again makes doing anything pretty difficult, but she’s so sweet and cuddly I can’t complain.
Her favorite thing to do lately is propped sitting, a welcome respite from laying around all the time I’m sure, and a great perspective for learning new material. With all Canton’s space talk Rhonda is pretty sure Jupiter is going to be her first word. Sheโs been smiling for awhile but has gotten very smiley over the last week, she’s sooooo close to laughing! Liberty LOVES to watch Canton and offers him loads of smiles, which he just eats up!
Weight: 12 lbs 3 oz
Length: 23.5 inches
Liberty is really growing! Can you believe it has been eight weeks? Our favorite moment of the week—she’s sleeping 7 hours! I still have to get up and do some mommy duties but I’m starting to feel like a normal person again! ๐
Canton has drawn lots of pictures of our family this week and loves to draw his arms BIG to hug Liberty—how sweet! I was so afraid of how he’d react, he is trying to toe the line a bit more, but it has been such a blessing to see them together. He’s so gentle with her and has even taken on some chores around the house, like feeding Roxy!
Hard to believe she has her two month check up next week!
