What Has Canton Been Up To?

Sorry it has been a while since we’ve posted. Mom has been pretty busy since we haven’t had any snow days and Dad is always wrestling…so we try to make the most of our evenings and Sundays when we are together. In addition, we got a new camera everyone is trying to figure out AND our desktop broke, so mom is trying to get more efficient on this Mac.

I done a lot in the past week or so! I can catch a ball most of the time (you still have to throw pretty slow but that’s okay), I love to shout “make” or “miss” when mom, dad, and I shoot hoops. I’m soooo funny, I’ll even shout miss when I trip and fall when I’m running.

I can officially count to 10 and can identify most colors. I tend to get green and blue confused, but I guess I still have time right? I’ve been able to identify circle, square, triangle, and oval (my favorite) for a couple months, now mom is making me learn new ones–I’ve taken quite a liking to the rhombus!

Mom and I have spent a lot of time dancing, but also drawing and writing. She drew an AWESOME Elmo that I love to drag around with me everywhere! I’ve also become quite a helper around the house, my favorite helping chore is to carry in groceries!

I’ve also developed quite an interest in trains. Aunt Rhonda bought me some Thomas the Train underwear and they are my favorite!! So Dad bought a couple Thomas apps for the IPAD and I just LOOOOOVE them. There is a great train table at the library which I have discovered, when we went on Thursday I played for over 30 mins on that thing!! That’s a pretty long time for me to be engaged in something!

I’ll try to get mom to be a little more active on the posting…I’m pretty much in charge here, shouldn’t be a problem.

Oh What Fun It is to Ride…

Mom and Dad FINALLY took me outside to play in the snow! Mom said since it was actually in the double digits (up to 27 today all you FL people!) I was allowed to go out. I had a GREAT time sled riding! I kept saying “sled please….sled…sled” I went soooo many times! I didn’t really like the whole walking back up the hill thing though…I asked to be carried. The funniest thing was when Roxy chased us! I just laughed and laughed! I sure do enjoy all these days off with mom!

Busta Move

Mom and Dad think I’m hilarious. My taste in music is quite diverse, some current favs are: That’s the Way I Like It (KC and the Sunshine Band), C’mon and Ride the Train(Quad City DJs), Mack the Knife (Bobby Darin), Dueling Banjos, and of course anything Elvis. You can definitely see my Floyd roots in my move Mom and Dad have coined “The Stomp”. They’ll have to put me in dance classes soon!

Dance Dance

Nanny and Grandpa are back!!! We’ve had a great time reading, playing, but especially dancing!!! Elvis is becoming my favorite artist and I frequently roam around saying “Hound Dog…Hound Dog” I even say it when they try to trick me playing other songs. We’ve had a great time, I don’t want them to leave! We’re definitely going to have to visit sunny FL soon!

CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!

What a crazy day! I got soooooooooooooo many presents (too many according to mom and dad) and got to see so many people!

Mom and I woke up and silly Grandma starting blaring Christmas music to wake up Dad, Poppy, and Aunt Beth. Then the fun began! I didn’t really rip into my presents, I calmy opened them with help from mom, but I sure was excited. Each time I opened a gift I had to play with it for a while before I was ready to move on to all the others. Some of my favorites were a laughing gorilla from Aunt Beth and a horse pogo from Grandma and Poppy. Mom’s favorite was the huge toy box they gave me! I named my horse “Neigh” and rode and rode it.

I had a huge breakfast and enjoyed my first helping of scrambled eggs, and boy did I clean up! Then we headed to Mal and Pap’s. A snowman family greeted us, thanks for making those Harvey! After visiting a while Nanny showed up and suprised Mal! It was awesome to see her so happy! Then we opened even MORE presents, mom doesn’t think we have a house big enough for everything I have. Aunt Rhonda, among many things, gave me some really cool puzzles I am enjoying, they make noise! She also gave me a singing bear which now has to go to bed with me! After opening Rhonda’s presents I was quite tired, so we had some dinner. I ate and ate and ate, mostly beans! Everyone was impressed with the food I could put away! After dinner: more presents!

Mal and Pap gave me my favorite present of all: a little red wagon!!!! My eyes lit up like saucers when Pap brought that out of the bedroom. I immediately wanted to hop in a take a ride. All day long I was saying “little red wagon….little red wagon” everyone thought it was hilarious! Driving home I feel asleep in the car and in my sleep said “little red wagon” mom and dad just laughed and laughed!!!

We had a wonderful time visiting and being together. Mom and Dad have taught me that family means everything and I definitely feel the immense love of my family every day! They love relentlessly and it has made mom and dad better people because of the love of our family. I think Mom and Dad finally have learned the real meaning of Christmas, it is love, and I could not ask for anything more!

Christmas Eve

This is shaping up to be quite a holiday! For Christmas Eve we went to GG’s house for dinner and to exchange gifts. I ate up the sandwiches and even ate 4 huge red pepper slices! Everyone gets a kick out of what a diverse eater I am, I’m definitely my father’s son.

GG really liked the pictures of me and I had a great time playing with the truck she gave me. I mostly liked playing with all of GG’s holiday singing animals! Later, when we got back to Grandma and Poppy’s I layed out cookies for Santa. I kept saying “Santa…cookies….Santa….cookies” I even remembered to look the next morning, and the two days after that! What a great time we’ve had together!
