Canton had the talent show tonight! The first couple jokes were not as smooth as the practice because the teacher/M.C. actually said his exact jokes while waiting for some technical difficulties with another act. GRRRRRRRR. But, he recovered pretty well! 🙂 Cute (and surprise ending)–“Thanks for listening, Don’t forget to tip your waitress!” What a jokester! 🙂

Canton auditioned and was chosen to participate in the talent show on 2/9/15. This clip is from the practice they held today (2/5).
He was nervous about staying after school being one of only two K students, but he did a super job once he knew I was not leaving him there! 🙂 He definitely stood out among the dancers, recorder players, and pitchy Frozen/Taylor Swift songs 😉

Since Liberty will soon be out of her toddler bed we thought it would be a good idea to get Canton a new bed. It is a BEAST and still being put together, but here are a few pics of Liberty and Canton having fun in the hideaway cave!
19 months we have had our sweet girl! She continues to grow and change each day.
She’s up to 6 whole teeth and one 1/2 tooth. She has 4.5 on the bottom and her two top.
She continues to do great with the potty, it will still be a bit until overnight, but we are just thrilled with our undies wearing girl! 🙂
Although she still loves outside, sadly that doesn’t happen much in January in VA. So, for inside activities, Liberty really enjoys reading and playing in her kitchen. She loves to sing ABCs and the Itsy Bitsy spider.
She still doesn’t have too many words but she understands so much! She can follow two and three step directions like a pro! We just say that Canton does all the talking for her. But, we seriously cannot WAIT until she starts talking!
Also this month, she is no longer in the crib but a toddler bed! She loves that she can get into her bed all by herself and does really well at staying there, much to our surprise! I’ve caught this girl climbing and planning an escape route way too many times!

Is is possible Liberty is a year and a half old now? Every day we are lucky enough to see more and more of her personality! She is learning SO much!
She’s up to 3 whole teeth and two 1/2 teeth!! Yay! For Christmas she did get one of her two front teeth! 🙂
The most exciting thing…she’s officially potty trained! We made it down and back to Florida and the whole trip without an accident! She’s wearing all kinds of new big girl undies instead of pull-ups, she is one happy girl!
She’s copying more and more of what Canton does – she’ll try to make some of the crazy space sounds he makes or crawl around on the floor with him. He’s also taught her how to play tag, it’s so cute to see them run past each other and she’ll scream “tag” and laugh and laugh.
You can also ask Liberty “How old are you?” and she will hold up her index finger! Thanks Rhonda and Nanny for that one!
Liberty still LOVES outside, thankfully she got a lot of outside time in FL.

Well, Liberty is up to 2.5 teeth this month! 🙂
She’s added a couple words, she makes a sound for “Ariel” the princess and says “roni” for macaroni and “yum yum” when she wants a snack. She also loves to say “go” and picks out her various shoes to coordinate with her outfits. She still calls for Nanny and Rhonda in the morning, Liberty certainly misses them and loves when we get to facetime, she comes running when she hears the sound! She has warmed my heart by adding “Mal” to her vocab and identifying her in pictures! 🙂
Very exciting news this month, potty training! She smacks her backside to let us know she needs to go and has been accident free (minus over night) for a week! What a sweet smart girl we have! 🙂
