Liberty continues to be a sweet girl! We just love her sense of humor, she laughs loud and often!

She has taken quite an interest in cats, definitely strange for this family!

She still LOVES spaghetti as well as eggs. Getting her to eat meat is still a bit of a challenge, but she is still just growing!

New words: go, bye, mommy (instead of mama), and Minnie is said frequently!

Canton was invited to Dr. Virani’s/Rohan’s house for a pumpkin carving party. Liberty fell in love with a cat and Canton impressed all the professors with his knowledge of the periodic table. One comment “I work with the elements every day and I don’t know the periodic table that well!”

Saturday was Halloween Downtown. Liberty had a GREAT time, she knew just what to do with her candy bucket and got lots of compliments for being such a super sweet and cute girl!

While composing an email with Liberty on my lap Canton was getting a snack in the kitchen, or so I thought:

After being filled with laughter, shock, and disappointment all at the same time we headed to the barber, but not before I told him to never ever ever do that to Liberty! I explained that it had to be cut to make it look better, even it out, etc, when we finished he said “Well, it looks worse now.”

He cried and cried getting it buzzed, so I don’t think it will happen again.

MVES was closed today, so Canton asked if he could spend the day at RL. Fridays we typically just have Moon class, but he wanted to stay for Gardening and Spanish Cooking as well.

We ventured to JMU to use their telescopes to view the partial solar eclipse. Canton got the reception of “Norm” from cheers, everyone knows and loves him!

You can tell by Liberty’s expression it is not her thing! 🙂 But, she does love outside

Canton and Liberty had a ton of fun yesterday learning and making.

In Makers Canton did some soldering while making an Electroluminescent wire. He learned about the chemistry behind it too, neon, lead, etc.

In Geography the taped a huge jigsaw of the US and another of the world and labeled continents, countries, etc.

Canton made a small and a large drawing string bag in sewing and finished a cat tail in cats.

Between classes Joe taught Canton all about frequency, amplitude, sound waves vs light waves, and pitch on an oscilloscope.

All the girls love Liberty and she had tons of fun being fawned over and playing dolls.
