Liberty’s First Day of Preschool

Liberty had her first day of preschool today! She goes Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 to 12.

She start in the morning very excited. She chose an owl shirt and pants to wear, very true to form! She was still really excited on the car ride over and enjoyed taking pictures with her sign. We had a few tears well up right when we walked in the classroom. However, she soon found some paint and told me “I’ll be ok mom.” Oh my heart!

Adleigh and I cried the whole way home, haha, for very different reasons though! Miss Independent wanted to walk in the parking lot instead of being carried and she didn’t like that!

When I picked her up she was in a reading tent with a friend and she excitedly greeted me and Adleigh! She told me that she painted and had fun making cakes for dionosuars on the playground! We said she can’t wait to go back Wednesday!

On the way home she asked “Can we get some Chick-Fil-A lunch since it’s such a special day?” Haha!

Then we finished the day off playing with homemade play doh (Mom can you make the play doh we have at school, it’s so much better than the regular play doh ) oh this girl!!

Adleigh is 23 Months!

Our baby is almost 2 😭😁

Adleigh has gained so many new words this month! She can say a lot of animals and their sounds, letters, numbers, she can even count to 10 (if you say 6).

She has had a rough few weeks trying to get her canine teeth in. They are the last ones to come in for her and they are giving her a tough time. She would love to eat a popsicle all day long so we have change to chewing on ice. She still doesn’t like to eat much though. I guess she will be picky like her brother.

She also LOVES music and dancing. Her favorite thing to do is watch a YouTube clip of the frozen song or any other Disney songs and sing and dance along with me and sometimes her siblings.

When you get her up in the morning and ask her what she’s going to do she will say “Lou Canton” meaning she will play with Liberty and Canton.  They head off to school soon so it will be an adjustment. Adleigh will have Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings with just me and her.

Another new normal 🙂

Mom’s New Wall

Mike made me a board and batten wall with hooks for coats of the little ones! Thanks for your hard work dad!!!! 🙂

Dad had a big helper with Canton double checking his work and the girls checking on his progress.  It took a few hours but the boys enjoyed their work!

Adleigh is 22 Months!

Adleigh continues to grow and make us laugh! She has a kind and hilarious spirit and her independence is showing through! She wants to walk down the stairs by herself and pick out her own clothes! If we could just get the potty working…

Adleigh loves to move! She enjoys being at the pool, she is always trying to climb up the side to jump in, which is adding to my gray hair collection! She also loves to jump and spends a lot of the day just running and jumping!

Adleigh is not a big eater, she has better things to do. Unless it is ice cream! She is known to pull open the freezer drawer to try to get ice cream!! 🙂

She loves to do anything and everything Canton and Liberty do. She’ll mimic their gestures and loves to chase after them as they move to different activities. I LOVE watching them read together, so sweet! They also will play princess and castle together.  She can name all the princesses thanks to Liberty.  She loves to have them ask her to make animal sounds! Her donkey sounds like a T-devil and when you say “duck” she doesn’t say quack, she says “duck” in a quacking voice haha!
She melts our hearts each day!
