I’m five weeks today! I spent the day with all my visitors and showing off all my tricks. Mom and Dad found my future babysitter in Hannah, Uncle Jesse entertained me, and I got to see Mal and Pap again! I went to the doctor yesterday and I’m 9 lbs 8 oz and 21 inches, Mom and Dad cannot believe how much I have grown!
On Monday (6/15) mom and dad took me to the school board office to visit all the beautiful ladies up there, I had a great time. I was especially impressed with how Mrs. Harris calmed me down and was so sweet to me. Then that evening my uncle Jesse and his girlfriend Melissa came to see me for the first time! I am the first baby he has ever held, and he did pretty well if I do say so myself. You’ll see from my sleeping pictures how tired I was from my big day. I’ve also been practicing rolling to one side, that wipes me out too! I’m excited that he’ll be spending the next few days with me. Mal and Pap are coming down too, and Angie and Hannah are going to stop by. I sure do have a lot of people that love me!
My how time flies! I’m one whole month today! Mommy was away from me for the first time today to finish some stuff for her administration degree, she had a hard time being away from me, she really loves me. Here are some pictures of me sleeping in my swing (you can see how I end up all crazy ways when I sleep), hanging out solo with dad today, and then some pictures of me watching the Yankee game with mom when she got back!
Canton is four weeks old today! I remember being young and how I would hate when relatives would gush over how much I’ve grown and hating it, funny how your perspective changes… He continues to bless and amaze us with every passing day. I seriously cannot imagine life without him, and we barely remember what our BC (before Canton) life was like. These pictures show one of his new favorite things to do, look at his handsome reflection! He is starting to coo, you can’t imagine the goose bumps it sends through you to hear your child respond to seeing themselves or seeing your face, I wonder what those first words will feel like?
Canton is getting SO strong! He continues to push his way across his activity gyms (with assistance of course), you can see his progress moving in the different pictures and he is working on rolling to one side! He also has some new baby bird friends living under our deck which have grabbed his attention. I’ve also included a couple sleeping pictures, since everyone loves those!
I continue to enjoy tummy time, watching my reflection, and working on my grasping skills. Mom and Dad are pretty wiped out from the last couple days, I’ve been eating a lot more, although they’re tired, they’re glad I’m growing and becoming so strong!
Mom has been telling me all about my late great uncle Gregory, seems I have a lot to live up to with my middle name. Great aunt Rhonda gave me the Harley Davidson shirt I’m wearing because uncle Greg loved bikes, they spent lots of time riding, even biking from VA to Daytona for their honeymoon. In some of the pictures you can see me showing off my new skill of holding my own bottle (I can’t really hold it, only for about five seconds when I try to reach for it, but I’m well on my way!) Time keeps marching on, Canton is three weeks old today! He’s tipping the scales at about 8 lbs 4 oz and has grown about an inch. I can’t believe he’s been with us for three weeks already. He has grown so much and continues to learn so many new skills. It is incredible how you can be so in love with someone before you even meet them, and to have that love grow each day is a true blessing. Words cannot describe the immense fulfillment we feel each day we get to spend with our little man.

This video is a little late but better late than never! Aunt Becky gives Canton some encouragement to start crawling already!
Today, Canton’s grandparents and aunt Beth decided to come down and visit for the day! They were all excited to see how much he had grown and took turns feeding and burping him throughout the day. Once the day was over and things calmed down, Canton decided to kick back, and get some good R&R.
