Soooooo proud of Canton and JHS Theatre! This weekend was the Virginia Theatre Association conference where JHS competed against 34 other schools to see who represents Virginia at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in March. Jamestown presented their Harvey Stone Original Play “Mother of Exiles”. Canton plays Joseph Pulitzer, who was vital to securing the funding for the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. The place centers on the “ colossus” poem on the Statue of Liberty written by Emma Lazarus.

Canton placed second in Musical Theatre Solo and won the All Star Cast Award! He continues to shine and excel and we just love him so!
