Canton is spending the week in Bloomington at ITF. The Bird of the Sea was selected to represent the state of Virginia as a Chapter Select. He gets to attend workshops, watch shows, and experience a week in college dorm life. Canton also got to sing on Monday.

We always miss Canton when he is away at conferences. But, this time feels a little different. High school is half over and two year from now we will be taking him to the dorms for real. I think we are all taking this week a bit harder knowing time keeps marching.

He has been good about texting and FaceTime. We have asked for pictures but he has only this, not a big phone kid that one…

We took the girls for PF Changs and the Mariners Museum to distract them.

Canton did make sure to hang out with them a lot before leaving 🙂

Another summer, another session of stagelights. Although they were not together in Act 3 as actors, they are all together this year with the girls in the ensemble of Suessical the Musical and Canton as the assistant music director. We are so proud of each of them!

To the guy who builds Canton’s sets, absorbs the tight Liberty hugs, and takes Adleigh’s teasing…we love you! You are instrumental in raising up these smart, kind, creative, brave kids and ensuring our beautiful life. We are so thankful for you! We love you!

Happy Father’s Day!

The 2024-2025 school year is going to be hard to top! Adleigh and Liberty were so successful with pass advanced state testing, straight A’s, and personal achievements in harp and gymnastics.

Canton, whew, that kid is going to have a hard time topping this year. Choir All State, One Act State Championship, multiple acting awards, Best Leadership, and a whole other State Championship in Speech. This is a short list of all the many many accolades he earned this year.

Oh, and did I mention Straight As? But, he’s has been over it for a bit…

Here’s to a great school year, and to all those to come! Rising 11th, 7th, and 5th. So proud of each of you! I love you so!

Canton cleaned up at theatre awards! He was voted on by his peers as Best Leadership and Best Actor!

He also got an All Star cast award with several of the kids that did all three shows this year. Canton also got to honor his good friend Coe with a senior salute speech.

Happy Birthday my love! We are in awe of you!!!

Canton’s buddies took him for pizza, ice cream, and an escape room.

We finally got to see him around 9pm! He FaceTimed with Rhonda who gave him the most generous and hilarious gift! The money box that kept on giving! We are so thankful and lucky to have Rhonda in our lives!

The girls wrote sweet cards, they sure love their brother! Happy Birthday, Canton! Cheers to a wonderful year! We love you!

Canton spent his last day being 15 staying after for an AP Environmental Science review session, writing notes to graduating seniors, and jamming on the piano.

Adleigh competed at the state meet for gymnastics today with her age group from around the state. They award the top 8. She placed 8 on beam and 4th on bars. 9th overall. Lots of girls competing today! Yay Ad! We are so proud of how hard you work and what a great teammate you are! Congratulations on a great season!
