The Four Little Pigs

Canton has been very into retelling classics in his own way, he likes to dramatize and change the stories. He thought the three little pigs “seems like they could have made a better choice. I would make a house of iron. We need to redo the story with a fourth pig, he’s the smartest one. You could still hurt brick, but he couldn’t get through iron.”

Canton the Painter

Canton took his stuffed animal Bentley to school a few weeks ago for unit on fantasy. He did a great job with his painting, only getting help on the size, he did the painting all by himself, given his previous attempts at art (definitely not his forte) we were pretty excited about this creation.

Liberty showed her approval too πŸ™‚

Liberty Still Loves Pap

Pap and Janice dropped by today after their return from FL. Liberty was a little reluctant due to her over the top separation anxiety, but within 5 minutes she remembered how much she loves her Pap. Canton, of course, talked everyone’s ear off, and we’re thankful for Janice’s patience with all his space talk, she’s a good sport. Liberty enjoyed her snuggles and having Pap help her walk. She showed off her skills of getting to sitting from her stomach and her new way of crawling—downward facing dog pose into face plant that propels her forward, poor girl! Hope to see them soon!

Snow Cream

Although stuck inside, we still managed to have some fun making snow cream! Canton decided it just didn’t have enough color and declared we should add some color, his favorite color, RED! Then, after adding the red, we add sprinkles! Dad and Canton had a huge glass while mom cleaned the kitchen! πŸ™‚

Liberty at EIGHT Months!

Liberty’s big highlights of the month included waving and pulling up! She’s probably been pulling up for the whole month actually, but now she has it down, standing is definitely her preferred position.

She is also crawling quickly several feet at a time (still backwards) and eating more real foods, even though she still has no teeth! She can just about get herself back to a sitting position once she falls over or from her stomach.

Luckily for Mike she can now babble “dada” and has said “bruh bruh” (for brother), she definitely knows mama as a word though!

Liberty is a pro with her fine motor skills! She loves to open and shut the little doors on her walker and she can pick up the tiniest leaf/yard waste Roxy brings in, so I’m vacuuming a lot and sweeping the kitchen several times a day so she’s not munching on Roxy/Canton/Mike crumbs. She also loves pulling the fuzz on the carpet, super fun!

She has her own personality, she plays so hard, especially in comparison to her serious/astute brother! Nanny says she going to be quite the spitfire! But, she certainly knows what she wants and goes after it. Look out, she’s going to be a strong woman!

Weight: 18 lb 6 oz
