On Friday 9/24 Mom, Dad, and I loaded up the car to head to Dr. Arnone, my chiropractor. He’s super happy with my progress, only a few more times to go! Whatever he does with his magic hands definitely makes a difference, my head is looking great AND even though I don’t crawl a lot anymore I’m doing it normally now instead of dragging/cocking my left leg. It has been a long road, but the end is in sight. I impressed Mom and Mrs. Kathy at therapy today–I lifted a 10lb dumbbell.
We figured while we were driving 3 hours we might as well stop off at the Asheboro Zoo. We had a nice time, even though it was sooooo hot! My favorite zoo trip is Granny’s Zoo in Florida, but we had fun here. My favorite was probably the bison and the sea lions, of course the playground too!
I’ve been doing a great job at daycare too! I have lots of friends, I’m actually napping, and I’m feeding myself so well! I’m growing up so fast! 🙂
My favorite toy lately, besides books, is the IPAD. For a few weeks I’ve been able to slide to unlock the IPAD, scroll the pages, and identify the icons for my favorite apps. I LOVE my See-n-Say and flashcards. I can point to the body parts of the flashcards, and notice on the video when it says “kiss” I turn to give mom a kiss! All at only 16 months! Call me the next Steve Jobs! 🙂

We went to another football game the weekend, I had tons of fun. I danced and danced…this video isn’t my best dancing, but super cute for the 5 seconds I actually dance, I guess I’m a little camera shy. Just stick me outside and I’ll be fine for hours.

Lately, the only way I’ll eat dinner is if I get to use one of the dad-size forks, no more baby forks for me. I’m getting pretty efficient at feeding myself grown-up style if I do say so myself, check out the video:

This evening we saw two baby deer in the backyard, I tried waving to them but they didn’t wave back.
16 months tomorrow! Just when mom and dad don’t think I can change much, I suprise them with using the fork, more words, and almost opening doors. I have a lot more in store for them!
Friday brought the return of football in Floyd! Mom, Dad, and I had a great time watching the action, talking to people, and walking around the high school last night. My girl Lilamae came with us ( I tried to crawl in my old bumbo she used while she was here), we even got our picture taken with the mascot–yay! I also learned to shake the fence to cheer the Buffaloes on! It’ll be me out there soon enough!
I visited the chiropractor on Friday as well. He is a super nice guy. Even though I have 8-10 more trips to Charlotte ahead of me I know Mom and Dad are doing what they think is best. They even think they already notice a difference in my neck, you decide.
We’re off to enjoy the holiday weekend–Go Gators! Go Hokies! 🙂
